Mary Anne has over 20 years of experience as a non-profit executive and senior manager. She brings a comprehensive set of skills in communications, marketing and institutional advancement. Her in-depth experience has engaged diversified constituencies and local communities through strategic planning, fundraising campaigns, special events, board development and volunteer leadership.
Mary Anne is the Director of Mission Advancement for the Benedictine Sisters of Boerne. Prior roles include Director of Development for the Salesian Sisters’ Western Province in San Antonio, Texas, Associate Superintendent for Development and Marketing – Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, and teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal at St. John Bosco Elementary School in San Antonio.
As a volunteer, she has also served on non-profit committees and boards including the Association of Fund-raising Professionals (San Antonio Chapter), VIDES-USA, (volunteers international for development, education, and solidarity), and the Boerne Chamber of Commerce. She has chaired, co-chaired and initiated many special events including benefit golf tournaments and dinner galas.
Mary Anne received her B.A. in Outdoor Education from Dominican College in San Rafael, CA and Master’s in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She holds a secondary teacher’s certification in Biology from Southwest Texas State University and a Mid-Management Administrator’s Certification from St. Mary’s University.
